I visited a temple with my mom today. It's tucked into the mountains - as Korean temples tend to be - and I walked around for about a hour.
I found a unique flowering tree. Its name means 'the king's fan', and its flower language is " all sorrows will pass." I used to ignore flower meanings, but this one struck me.
When I saw the small temple grounds, the roof tiles, all the quiet things I came across today - they clearly reminded me of what I miss so much. I checked in how I was feeling, physically and emotionally, and fortunately I wasn't hurting. It was more of a supportive feeling. When I noticed it, my mind automatically reached for the source - but I'd learned from Claude yesterday to not chase after it. I just felt it and let the connection go. I let myself sit with the warmth and support that the past was offering me.
I drove for about 4 hours...
